Recently a friend and I were talking about the quote from Thoreau of how many people live lives of quiet desperation. In other words, living an unfulfilled life. We discovered by putting an “F” in front of unfulfilled it became Fun-fulfilled. So our goal for 2004 was to have more fun and make it a really FUN-fulfilled year! My friend kicked hers off on a lively note by registering for a cruise to go to Alaska with close friends and us.

Other fun-fulfilled times include our *Red Hatters group, with like-minded women, who also are Red Hot Goddesses. We are lively cheerleaders rooting for each other with irreverent humor combined with racy, colorful, and thought-provoking advice. We are sisters in spirit who have unforgettable, hilarious and sweet memories filled with love, laughter and delicioustimes for the sheer fun of it! We have all experienced trials and triumphs through various crises with children, careers, marital misadventures, money challenges, aging parents, health concerns, and menopause…served up with verve and sisterly advice. As Divine Divas of the Red Hat Sisterhood, our philosophy in a nutshell could easily be this anonymous quote:

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming… "Wow! What a ride!"

I believe the purpose of life is JOY. The marketplace is prolific with books and professional coaches purportedly to help you find your "true life purpose." In a keyword search for purpose at amazon.com, I was stunned to see 111,682 reference entries come up. Holy Cannelloni! Personally, it is the JOY factor that guides my daily life. We all have contrast, and we also have a choice about how we feeeeel. I invite you to look for thoughts that feel better when in the midst of challenges. Everything is an opportunity for a fresh start from our heart. We bring about what we think about.

choose the feel-good ones!

Life 101 is a creative workshop where we get to choose. Do we choose unfulfilled or fun-fulfilled moments, days, weeks, and years? The JOY vibration is knowing what feeeels good and what pleases you. In my book, Magnetizing Your Heart’s Desire, I share how we choose our creations through our thoughts, vibrations, and the Law of Attraction in action (like attracts like). Good feels good and bad feels bad. I invite you to tell the Universe what your highest heart’s desires are and WHY. That automatically puts you in the fun frequency as you IMAGINE your delicious outcomes fulfilled in exhilarating ways!

Most people talk more about what they don’t like or what is wrong than what is right! Welcome and say what you love! Lay it out! Play it out! Say it out loud!

Being Reactors or Creators is the difference between trying to get into a vault by blasting it open with dynamite or using the right combination. The key is to eagerly find fulfilling combinations that please you so you are then locked onto a JOYOUS signal. You get to anticipate, choose and line up the energy for what you joyously summon. When we have "resistance" (i.e. anger, resentment, blame, reacting) it bogs us down and wears us out. We are free to choose our creations, as we focus our thoughts on our heart’s desires. The bottom line is, “How do I feel?” The Universe isn’t responding to our language (words)—it is responding to our vibrational signal through our feeeeelings.

As a Deliberate Creator, I feel it is also important to take time to BE and to listen. In the stillness, we tune into our soul and connect with our Stream of Well-Being. It is a silent time of receiving and honoring our self and Spirit as divine partners.

Lao Tzu said it well:

“We join spokes together in a wheel, but it is the center hole that makes the engine move.

We shape clay into a pot, but it is the emptiness inside that holds whatever we want.

We hammer wood for a house, but it is the inner space that makes it livable.”

Recently, a weekly message by Dr. Dina B. Evans touched my heart: “I find less desire to be associated with those people or organizations that are not able to create a circular exchange of energy…one that gives as much back as it receives. There is one sure way to render this life meaningless and that is with a lack of commitment and passion. I find my passion with those people who can mutually commit to authentic, alive friendship, growth, and exploration of ideas, concepts and spirituality…”

Our lives become a self-fulfilling prophecy dictated by our choices, positively or negatively. Fun-fulfilled or unfulfilled? The choice is ours. Remember, as you initially plant joyous dream seeds, they are tender beginnings. As you prepare and have fun strengthening the roots of your heart’s desires, magic and miracles will grow.
