Are You A Warrior or a Worrier?

Worry is a misuse of the imagination.
Dan Zadra

Several months ago, a friend was overwhelmed with worry about her adult daughter’s serious health challenges. In a reply via e-mail, I invited her to notice that by simply rearranging a couple vowels, she could be a WARRIOR for good thoughts and prayers rather than a WORRIER plagued by anxiety. She then responded, “You must share that in a blog,” as she expressed what an “ah hah” moment it was for her to change her perspective by simply thinking of those two words. I define a WARRIOR as a person of courage and strength, whereas a worrier is beset predominantly by anxieties, uneasiness and disturbing thoughts. And, what we think about expands for ill or for good.

In the midst of the current economic meltdown, which the U.S. is now experiencing, plus serious concerns politically on where our country is headed, combined with record unemployment rates, it is a good time to consider whether we are vibrating as a WARRIOR or a Worrier. Focusing on what you do want creates a shift energetically. It is like a coupling hose to your Stream of Well Being asking for what you do want, which then accelerates your heart’s desires through renewed intentions, thoughts and actions.

Why would you keep paying to see the same bad movie?
Alan Cohen

The key is what are you focusing on? The element that keep us from receiving our heart’s desires is staying focused on what we don’t want. When something is not working in our lives, doing more of it won’t work any better. As Carlos Castaneda said, “The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.”

Most everyone online has Anti-virus protection software that scans messages and programs for viruses. The same comparison can be made for scanning our thought patterns, which are our personal vibrational signal to the Universe, as well as “old programming” residing in our minds 24/7. When I defrag my PC, there is an analysis display, volume and cluster size, space used, plus free space available, etc. As a metaphor, how much of the time are we spending as a Creator versus Reactor? Are we filled primarily with life-giving positive feelings of abundance, love, joy, appreciation, health or negative thought viruses of fear, frustration, lack, anger, blame and criticism? What inner programs are we consistently running? My virus protection program randomly pops on up on the screen with the following choices: (which are also options we have as a mirror for our thoughts):

  1. I want to update now
  2. Be reminded later
  3. Continue what I was doing

We can download, prepare to install or uninstall as we monitor the screen of our minds. It is a choice we all make—it isn’t always easy, but it is a matter of focus. There are also times in life when you stand up for what you believe. Someone expressed it well:

It’s important to let people know what you stand for.
It’s equally important to let them know what you won’t stand for.

If you were to scan your thought energies hourly, where are they frequently clustered? What are you allowing to permanently reside on your internal hard drive as predominant thought patterns? What are you putting out to the Universe or regularly speaking about? How often do you update for mental and verbal “viruses” by scanning your daily life? What is being most repeatedly displayed on the screen of your consciousness? What life arenas can you defrag currently by becoming aware of how connected you are to your Stream of Well Being (feeeeeling good) or disconnected (fragmented) and feeling bad or sad. As you know, there are only two e-motions (energy in motion)—one feels good and one feels bad.

The difference between try and triumph is often a little more umph.

Recently my husband, Duaine, had critical health challenges and was admitted to the hospital. Crisis is always a turning point and energy for change whether it be personally, or on a collective level like the United States is experiencing with our economy. Most of us resist change because it temporarily puts us into the wobbles of uncertainty and the unknown. However, CRISIS AWAKENS! Usually it occurs when we didn’t pay attention to the signals around us. Typically, crisis is a decisive turning point and we have new choices because crisis helps us become more conscious. What looks like our greatest limitation in the moment, can become a time of personal empowerment. Deepak Chopra said it well, “Intention is your decision and attention is your focus.”

An attitude of gratitude provides your latitude and altitude in daily life.

If we had not gone to the dr. when we did on Sept. 22, there is chance Duaine would not be alive today, as it was a close call. I immediately gave thanks for the doctors, who were going to do the procedures, as well as the nurses and all the hospital staff. I appreciated that St. Joe had valet parking, which I think must be a rarity in most hospitals—and what a thoughtful convenience.   The support and prayers of family and friends was beyond what I can adequately express.   Duaine’s goal was to be home by his 77th birthday and he was! Our son, his girlfriend and our grandchildren brought in food, cards, gifts, balloons; friends called and sent e-mails and birthday cards with good thoughts, as well as flowers delivered from several friends and family. This energy all surrounded Duaine with healing love.

Did Duaine and I initially detour into fear? You bet! But the acronym for FEAR also means: Forever Experiencing Another Reality. I had a teleclass scheduled on Sept. 22nd with Kate Nowak on masterminding that had over 500 people pre-registered. I prayed for divine order and asked for help to get through the call easily and gracefully. Incidentally, Kate and I now have a mastermind web site and our next teleclass is scheduled on Monday, October 20th at 9 pm ET and 6 pm Pacific. You can check it out at: http://www.funwithmasterminding.com/

We are blessed to have choice and free will in our daily lives. Which reality we choose to participate in—as a WARRIOR or a WORRIER? Every time we “defrag” our lives by knowing what we don’t want, we then have more “volume” and space to ask and receive what we do want. It is a cosmic re-set button that oozes a fresh, pure, clear 100% signal to the Universe. Like our computers, we are then turned on, tuned up and connected 100% at optimum new levels. And that, my friends, is true abundance.

The Art of Receiving

Receiving:  verb
To admit; to take in; to hold; to contain; to have capacity for;
to be able to take in. To allow or to accept.

My dear friend, Kate Nowak, who created the heartwarming movie, May You Be Blessed, started a 90-day prosperity experiment in June. The experiment will be closing to new participants on Wednesday July 16th, as soon as the 30th message is posted.  If you would like to participate go to: http://www.bettertobless.com/prosperity.html Recently Kate shared a powerful quote by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer, who I studied with in Ca. in 1985.

“The more easily you can receive,

the more easily the Universe can give to you.”

If we have difficulty receiving, it’s good to explore and ask our selves: “Why do I have receiving issues?” Most of us give easily, but may have inherent or even unconscious resistance to receiving. There is an art to receiving, and once we start holding our self in a good feeling place, we come to recognize and appreciate that it is a joy for people to give. Receiving becomes more natural and comfortable when we practice allowing.

As you know, everything is vibrational in our Universe. It’s easy to find your vibrational place on most subjects if you imagine holding a vibrational stick or meter on a variety of topics, which are described in my book, Magnetizing Your Heart’s Desire. When you pick up a stick that says giving on one end, then the opposite end of the spectrum will be receiving. If you find yourself vibrating in a place where you are uncomfortable receiving, whether it be compliments or gifts, then understand that you are disallowing the true gift. You are stepping on your own hose and disconnecting from the Source.

A  well-known Biblical quote says, “Seek and you will find, ask and it shall be given, knock and the door shall be opened.” However, to complete the circuit of giving and receiving, you have to open the door of allowing and receiving. I invite you to become conscious of opening your heart to receive, without automatically feeling like you have to reciprocate. Simply BE a vortex and a pure open channel of receiving.

Receiving is an art form

Initially, you may feel tender or vulnerable as you open up to graceful receiving. Once you understand the principle of cause and effect, you recognize your receptivity is part of the magic and the joy for the giver. Only you can modulate and mold your experience as a receiver. Receiving is not passive. It is a conscious, active, dynamic choice. Know you are worthy and deserve to receive.  Many people have past conditioning that gifts have to be “earned.”   There are some things that can’t be earned in life and receiving is one of them. Practice the art of letting it in. It is an art form you can play with to feel the energy moving as you open and honor receiving.

Or, perhaps you feel someone is doing something better, nicer or spent too much money on a present; or notice if you have difficulty receiving praise or appreciation. Once receiving begins to feel familiar, I invite you to allow it to flow more rambunctiously! Let receiving be alive and vibrant! Create something that will anchor it that feeeeeels really good! It might be looking in the mirror and exclaiming out loud, “Today I openly received! God bless me!” Play with receiving in ways that are memorable and have fun with it! Value it! Treasure it! Welcome it! Say YES to receiving! Know the art and joy of your receiving matters to the giver!

Be excited by your newfound ability to receive! Look for new opportunities and open the floodgates to receive! Create space for receiving easily and naturally! Give the gift of receiving to yourself! Nurture it! Appreciate it! Let yourself truly feeeeeel the joy in receiving! Accept it in every cell of your body! Feel the sweetness of it! Amplify it! Magnify it! Absorb it! Expand it! Celebrate it! Let it be contagious! Become exuberant in your receiving! It strengthens bonds between the giver and receiver!

I appreciate Sarah Breathnach’s quote: "Today, declare to the Universe that you are open to receiving all the abundance it is waiting patiently to bestow. Each day offers us the opportunity to learn that as well as giving, it is blessed to receive with grace and a grateful heart."

In my book, I mention imagining a Magic Genie, who appears in front of you instantly that says, “I will grant you three wishes. Your wish is my command.” I hope today as you read this blog, that you will consider declaring that one of you wishes is to RECEIVE openly, easily and frequently

And, in a fresh start this year,  it was personally fun to see how the Universe truly does have a sense of divine play regarding Genies. I wrote that segment about Your Magic Genie in 1999 in Chapter 2. In May, 2008, I recently became involved in literally giving away free genies! How’s that for manifesting prosperity in a way I couldn’t have foreseen?! You can download this genie at: http://www.sharonsfreegenie.com

May what Buddha shared become imbued in every cell of our being: “You can search the world over and you will find no one who is more deserving of your kindness and well wishing than you yourself.”

May the magic of your magnificence always shine on!

The Spontaneous Healing of Belief

We are, in fact, the architects of our experience.
We are cosmic artists expressing our deepest beliefs
on the quantum canvas of the Universe.
Gregg Braden, New York Times best-selling author

My husband, Duaine, and I were blessed to meet Gregg Braden back in the early 90’s and facilitate his workshops in Arizona. We have seen Gregg’s work evolve and his teachings grow at light speed through the years as one of the leading international authorities in bridging science and spirituality. Gregg’s latest book, The Spontaneous Healing of Belief, Shattering The Paradigm of False Limits, is truly his crème de la crème as a distinguished teacher, although all his books are superb and important contributions. This one, however, will stretch readers to new possibilities.

The history of the universe is, in effect, a huge and ongoing
quantum computation. The universe is a quantum computer.
Seth Lloyd, MIT Professor and designer of the first feasible quantum computer.

Gregg asks readers to consider what it would mean to discover that everything from the DNA of life, to the future of our world, is based upon a simple Reality Code—one that we can change and upgrade by choice. A growing body of scientific evidence suggests that our universe works like a Consciousness Computer. Rather than the number codes of typical software, our Consciousness Computer uses a language that we all possess yet we are just beginning to understand the implications of how that works in our daily lives.

“A long time ago, the Great Programmer wrote a program
that runs all possible universes on His Big Computer.”
Jurgen Schmidhuber, Computer Scientist

The amazing synchronicity in reading this book was a dream I had on my birthday in 1994 of Jesus at a computer in an Upper Room in a private home. I was downstairs sorting through greeting cards, one of which had a glittering map of the Ark of the Covenant. I faxed that dream to Gregg for feedback, as the computer itself was such an “out of place artifact” or anomaly in 1994. We purchased my Mac in 1992, but very few homes even had computers back then and no one had a clue what the World Wide Web was. One day in 1999, when having lunch with friends at an Abraham event, I posited the question, “Do you think the Universe could be a giant computer?” Their jaws were agape and they looked at me in with incredulous expressions that I would pose such a question. Back then, I guess it really did seem farout!

As I shared in my book, Magnetizing Your Heart’s Desire, the best-kept secret in the Universe is that we design and create our reality through the language of our feeeeeelings! As Braden writes in this latest book, “…our life code is based in the language of human emotion and focused belief. Our thinking and our beliefs are the programs that run our consciousness. Since we are the ones creating them, we are the programmers and we choose which thoughts become our commands and which emotions signal when to bring them to life…”

“Through the inner technology of our ‘belief ware’,
we’re clearly the architects of our lives.” Gregg Braden

Braden presents 31 belief codes, as summaries of his main points, which are also encapsulated at the conclusion. These codes provide an overview of our conditioned beliefs and how they impact our life. I particularly appreciate how Gregg draws the honesty cards in his personal life by sharing specific examples (he also did this in Divine Matrix, which is very helpful to see the patterns we all create in our lives).

The Spontaneous Healing of Belief combines quantum physics with spirituality that mirrors how we create our reality through our beliefs. The analogies to a computer are compelling and fascinating reading. Braden provides brief explanations of the roles that computers play (such as output, the operating system, the programs) with descriptions that allow us to compare the fractals of computers to the larger workings of the Universe. Our beliefs are actually the software (or belief ware) that programs our reality and determines our experience. Personally, I could not put this book down. I highly recommend buying a copy immediately if you want to be stretched to new life-altering possibilities and upgraded software “patches” for your inner technology.

Shine on!

From my heart!
